- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Content You Provide
Photos and Personal Details
When you upload photos or provide personal details (names, ages, interests), you represent that:
- You have the legal right to use and share these photos (e.g., you are the child's parent or guardian, or have their parent/guardian's permission).
- The photos do not violate any third party's rights.
- The content is appropriate and lawful.
License to Us
By uploading content, you grant Little Life Chapters a limited, non-exclusive license to use that content solely for the purpose of creating and delivering your personalized book. We do not claim ownership of your content, and this license ends when you delete your content or account.
5. Intellectual Property
Our Content
The Little Life Chapters website, branding, story templates, AI-generated illustrations, and all related materials are owned by or licensed to Little Life Chapters. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission.
Your Books
The personalized books you create are for personal, non-commercial use. You may share them with family and friends, give them as gifts, and keep them as keepsakes. You may not resell, mass-reproduce, or commercially distribute the books.
6. Orders, Pricing, and Payment
- All prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change.
- Payment is required at the time of order for printed books.
- We accept major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
- You agree to pay all charges associated with your order, including applicable taxes and shipping fees.
7. Returns and Refunds
Because each book is custom-printed to your specifications:
- We do not offer returns or refunds once a print order has been placed.
- We provide a free digital preview of the first 4 pages before purchase so you can see the story premise, illustration style, and the child's likeness. Please review these pages carefully before buying.
- After purchase, each book includes up to 5 illustration regenerations and unlimited text edits so you can adjust the book before submitting it for print.
- If your book arrives damaged or with a printing defect, contact us at support@littlelifechapters.com and we will send a replacement.
- Digital-only purchases are final and non-refundable.
8. Shipping
- Printed books are produced on demand, which typically takes 3 to 5 business days.
- Shipping times vary by location (generally 5 to 10 business days within the US).
- We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs, or events beyond our control.
- Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery to the carrier.
9. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use our services for any unlawful purpose.
- Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates the rights of others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate our AI technology or platform.
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access our services without permission.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- AI-generated illustrations will be a perfect likeness.
- Print colors will exactly match digital previews (minor variations are inherent to the printing process).
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Little Life Chapters shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Contextual Labs Ltd. (operating as Little Life Chapters), its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

14. AI-Generated Content
The illustrations in your personalized book are generated using artificial intelligence (OpenAI). By using our service, you acknowledge that:
- AI-generated illustrations are approximations and may not perfectly match your uploaded photos.
- The AI processes your photos to create original illustrations; your photos are not directly reproduced in the book.
- AI-generated content may be subject to evolving regulations in various jurisdictions.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta, Canada.
